Founded in 1994, the Department of General Surgery at Sir Run Run Shaw Hospital exemplifies the successful integration of the American medical model in China. Recognized as a Clinical Key Specialty in China and affiliated with the Minimally Invasive Surgery Institute of Zhejiang University, the department is equipped with state-of-the-art technology for minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment. As a pioneer in the systematic implementation of minimally invasive procedures in hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, our center routinely performs robotic and laparoscopic surgeries, as well as liver transplants.
